Twas the night before Christmas-Rio’s short poem.

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house
not a creature was stirring, because Rio took them out.

The Grayson “future” children all snug in their beds,
While Blade and Sierra danced downstairs.
Ruth in Dior, husband not around,
Ruth will find love but I can’t tell you with who right now.

When on the estate there arose such a clatter,
Rio sprang from his bed to see what was the matter.
Away went the window when he flew into the night,
Rio pounced on the figure after all it was at night.

When, what to his cold eyes did he see?
You’ll have to wait till next Christmas
This story is a gift from me to you.

Merry Christmas
Francis and Michelle Ray

  7. Francis,

Great teaser! I believe I am all caught up on your books now. I have been introducing your books to friends in other states to build up your readership even more. May 2010 be one of your best years ever.

    • Francis Ray says:

      Elder Kimberly,
It’s been a while. How are you? [HUGE HUGS]The church and the family?
Thank you so much for dropping by, and the word of mouth about my books.

GOD bless you and Happy New Year

  8. Cordelia Mitchell says:

Francis, I truly love all of the Grayson novels, but please tell me that there will be babies. Please let Luke and Catherine have a child. I know that it’s not realistic but I’m sure like most of your readers we read these books for an escape from reality. You’re a great writer and can’t wait to see what you have planned for Rio and Ruth.

    • Francis Ray says:

      Cordelia,
      You’ll just have to wait. {hugs}
Thank you so much for the comment. Your so kind.
Yes. Ruth and Rio. They of course will have there own book/s. I just need to write it. LOL

      Have a great week/weekend

  9. Jaime L. Lincoln says:

  11. Cozett says:

I am soooo looking forward to Rio’s story. He may be tough now, but that facade wll fall with the right touch of love. I can’t wait.

    Love your work.

  12. Betty says:

    2010 blessed wishes.

I agree with your other readers Rio will be hard to match but you can do it. I’d like to see him with Hope Cameron’s P.R person, she would give him a run for his love. The fact that there is romance waiting Ruth makes waiting for Christmas 2010 worth while.

    • Francis Ray says:

      Thanks Betty,
      I wish you the same.
Gosh, I hope so. Rio will probably keep me up at night. giggle

I want Hope to be with someone else. I can’t tell you who, because I don’t know yet. LOL I need to finish the other books before I get to her story.
Ruth will of course find love. That’s also up in the air on who the lucky man is.

Take care and thanks for the support.

  13. Betty says:

    2010 blessed wishes.

I agree with your other readers Rio will be hard to match but you can do it.
I’d like to see Rio with Hope Alvarado, Cameron’s P.R person she would give him a run for his love.
The fact that there is romance awaiting Ruth makes waiting for Christmas 2010 worth while.

  14. Sydney says:

Aww. I loved the poem and I can’t wait for Rio’s story. I’m sure you will not disappoint. Your one of my favorite authors and I’m just excited to read your next book for the Grayson Friends series. And I agree with Betty….Hope and Rio would make an interesting match….oh well, we will have to just wait and see and look forward to Christmas 2010!

God Bless and Best Wishes in 2010!

    • Francis Ray says:

      Sydney,
Thank you so much for the note and the support.
I think/plan for Rio to have someone that you haven’t met yet.

      Have a great weekend

GOD bless you and your loved ones.
      Thank you for the blessings.

  15. Latisha Ann says:

Loved this Poem!!! Cannot wait for Rio’s book :) He is pretty much my favorite character-next to Blade and Duncan of course…Yea Betty and Sydney, that’s a good thought… Hope and Rio mmmhhhh interesting…well we are going to have to wait and see :D mind you I thought there was something going on between Hope and Hilliard …

Great novels! Francis Ray I am obsessed with your series!!! Keep them coming :)

  16. I’m just now reading this poem, but I loved it! LOL Can’t wait to read Rio’s story this December!

  17. Miss.Righteous says:

I read this poem awhile ago I just love it! I see you have multiple talent not only do you write awesome stories but poems also! Yes this was a nice teaser but I will wait as long as it take for your stories cause they always worth it! Like all the other reader I would love to see Rio and Hope but if not it okay the more single people the more great stories to be expected! I wonder how the Graysons’ children is going to take Mrs.Ruth falling in love again and if it’s going to be her kids or her sister in-law that going to do the matchmaking (maybe Ruth going to set herself up since she such a wonderful matchmaker at heart)!…

    • Francis Ray says:

      Miss.Righteous,
      Thank you. So much for the very sweet comment. {HUGE HUGS}
Sorry. That’s not the man for Hope. You have already met Hope’s love in NOBODY BUT YOU.
You will be really surprised about the woman for Rio. ;-)
The Grayson children and friends of course want the best for Ruth. You’ll have to see.

Rio quote: “The first thing you will see is this bullet. The last is the devil.”

      • Miss.Righteous says:

        Awesome quote love it and I defiantly can’t wait to me the woman who will win the ‘steel’ heart of Rio…I agree Ruth deserve the same happiness that she brought to her kids and friend, anxiously looking forward to all the books to come and I have a feeling who’s Hope true love is…{Hugh Hug}

        • Francis Ray says:

          Hey Miss Righteous,
          Thank you so much.
I answered you via MySpace. I hope you saw my comments back to you.

I have some ideas about her. However I haven’t done a character sketch to really get the meat and bones about her. Also Rio’s back story. Will have to be in the book.
Ruth will have her story. Hope…probably will have a book. Not sure when. Sorry.
          {HUGE HUGS}
          Take care

          • Miss.Righteous says:

Hey, yes I seen the comments on Myspace thanks and you welcome, its okay about the wait I know Rio need a special woman so I know it going to be a search, and I can’t wait I always wanted to know the story behind him. As for Mrs.Ruth I actually grow to love her so it might be a little weird seeing her fall in love either way I’m happy for her she really deserve it!…

          • Francis Ray says:

            Miss. Righteous,
            Great. Thanks for the comments.

You know it. Rio really needs a strong woman to stand with such a strong, totally awesome, can fly a helicopter, defuse a bomb, wash your hair, and always has your back man. :-D
Good. Ruth deserves to have her story told.

            Have a great weekend!

          • Miss.Righteous says:

Wow that some kind of woman ;) but yes Ruth does and I meant fall in love with her and a daughter(ly) way lol!…

Thank you and you have a awesome weekend as well

          • Francis Ray says:

            Miss.Righteous,
I know. She just has to be to make Rio want and love her.
            Your welcome. Thank you.

  18. Leah says:

I know I am little late in reading this but better late than never…… Can I just say WOW! What a teaser I loved this poem. It makes me wish that Christmas was tomorrow! I love your stories and I am a true fan of your work I first fell in love when i read Shane and Paiges story and I knew I had to go back and read the Grayson series…… Rio is my absolute favorite character and I know that you will create the perfect woman for him and as stubborn as Rio is I know that it will take some time but I am more than willing to wait until Christmas. You are an amazing author and your books are my escape. I admire your skill Francis Ray and no matter what else you write and for how long you write i will be there with my support! Best wishes in 2010 and God Bless!

  19. Monica says:

OMG, I can’t wait to read Rio’s story….it will take a strong woman to melt his heart! Mrs. Ruth Grayson is such a wonderful mother… she deserves to find love….. Ms. Ray, what about Mr Paul and Stella McBride, will they finally get back together? Oh yeah, will Ms. Joann Albright find love too? Im on pins and needles!!!!

    • Francis Ray says:

      Monica,
I agree. Rio will need one heck of a woman.
Ruth’s story will most likely be in Rio’s book.
Not sure if I will bring the McBride’s story to the forefront.
Joan finding love will most likely be off scene.

      Thank you and take care.

  20. Brittany W. says:

I know that I am way late on this, but I love Rio’s character and cannot I mean cannot wait till the story comes out… and i am going to be overjoyed for Mrs. Ruth. At first I thought of Gayle for Rio…. but oh well i hope her and Noah get a story either way… love it all

  21. Ariel says:

OMG… Im In love with Rio… period… my minds eye says he’s the superfine break a neck protector your writing imbibes… CANT WAIT… Pleas say its relaease is this Christmas as in like 11 days from now… Im so happy That Ruth deserves Love and i think that her children should be in on it to pay her back in spades…. and another thing why cant we get a book about the battered woman Catherine and Luke helped? Her name escapes me at the time… I really want to see her happy with the Veterinarian Playboy. lol at this rate with all these friends you will NEVER be out of a Job Ma’am you are definately one of my favorite authoresses… Be Blessed and Happy 2k11

    • Francis Ray says:

      Hi Ariel,
Rio really stuck a cord with the readers. I want the best story that I can for him and the readers. Ruth will be happy. :-D
Naomi book is coming. I just need a release date. His book is four books away.

I hope so. I want the characters to learn and grow.

      Happy New Year!

  22. 1MoJ says:

Wow, I was searching your site to see when Rio’s story was coming out. Saw and read the poem. Excellent by the way. I can’t wait for his story. Of course, you’ve gotta find love for Ruth, Trents’ mother and Sabre & Laurels’ mother. That would be great. However, hook Rio up with a strong willed, loving, hot blooded woman :) I know you will. I enjoy all your books and they are excellent.

    Thanks,

    1MoJ

    • Francis Ray says:

      1MoJ,
Thank you. I really enjoyed the Christmas poem as well.
I’m finishing up the last of the Romance books. I’m hopeful that I’ll meet the expectation of Rio’s woman.
Ruth will find love. I thought Ruth’s story would be with Rio’s, but it didn’t turn out that way. Ruth might have a short story.
JoAnn-Trent’s mother may have one of those “once in a lifetime love.” She’s happy where she is. So she wouldn’t have a full story.
Sabre & Laurels’ mother may have a short story not sure when I’ll have the time to write it.

Take care and I appeciate the support. :-D

  23. Jessica says:

Wow! Mrs. Ray you are sooooooooooooooooo busy!!! You’re such a talent that every background character you write seems to need it’s own story! We just can’t get enough! Thank you for sharing the gift God blessed you with. Can’t wait to read them all! Between Ruth, Joann and Mrs. Raineau you look like you’ll have a Mother’s Day Special Book. That would be so awesome! LOL!

    • Francis Ray says:

LOL. I know. As an author you want the readers to want to know about every character that’s in the pages. I wish I could write everyone story even if it was a short story, however I’m a slow writer. ha ha

      That’s a wonderful idea. Thanks for sharing. {HUGE HUGS}
