To help with the rodeo research in FOREVER YOURS, I was blessed to find Cleo L. Hearn, who introduced me to the extraordinary African-American men and women who follow the rodeo circuit. Wow! Their skills were fantastic. If you have the opportunity to go to the National Black Rodeo please don’t pass up the opportunity. You’ll quickly see how black men helped settle the west.
