Blog Day 1 – Friday

I’m excited and hope you will be as well. In this blog I want to highlight the first two books in the Grayson Friends series, THE WAY YOU LOVE ME and NOBODY BUT YOU, and get you ready for book # 3, ONE NIGHT WITH YOU.

Since some of you might be new to reading Francis Ray, I thought I would list the series and the characters.

Graysons of New Mexico Series

UNTIL THERE WAS YOU – Luke Grayson and Catherine Stewart – April 2000 (reissued November 2008 )
YOU AND NO OTHER – Morgan Grayson and Phoenix Bannister – March 2005
DREAMING OF YOU – Brandon Grayson and Faith McBride – September 2006
IRRESISTIBLE YOU – Pierce Grayson and Sabra Raineau – March 2007
ONLY YOU – Sierra Grayson and Blade Navarone – October 2007

Grayson Friends Series

THE WAY YOU LOVE ME – Shane Elliott and Paige Allbright – September 2008
NOBODY BUT YOU – Cameron McBride and Caitlin Lawrence – March 2009
ONE NIGHT WITH YOU – Duncan McBride and Raven La Blanc – November 2009

I created the Grayson Friends series because there were so many wonderful secondary characters in the Graysons of New Mexico series that needed their own stories. And quite frankly, I didn’t want to leave the Graysons. Like many of you, I fell in love with the Grayson brood and, although they are now happily married thanks to their mother’s amazing ability to thrust them into the path of their one true love, I wanted to see how they were loving and living. The Grayson Friends series allows me to do just that.

If you were reading ONLY YOU closely, I gave you a hint of the woman Shane would finally claim as his own in THE WAY YOU LOVE ME. You saw Paige before then in UNTIL THERE WAS YOU. I hurt for Cameron in DREAMING OF YOU and, like many of you, cheered him on to victory on and off the NASCAR track in NOBODY BUT YOU. As you can now tell, the character lives are interwoven. Family and friends are important. The people in my stories are well aware of this. Shane came from a much different family than Paige. The same for Cameron and Caitlin. Question: do you think their childhood helped or hindered them from trusting and falling in love?

Before I sign off, I did want to give you a short blurb of ONE NIGHT WITH YOU scheduled for release November 03, 2009.

Montana rancher Duncan McBride tackles brush fires, cougars, and ornery livestock without a flinch, but the stunning archeologist, Raven La Blanc, who has come to authenticate cave drawings on his property is getting to him in the worst possible way. Try as he might, he can’t deny the sizzling attraction between them. He asks for one night of passion. Raven will settle for nothing less than a lifetime. Duncan and Raven are both strong-willed and determined to win the sensual battle, but an unseen force is equally determined to tear them apart.
Until next time,

Francis

    Hi Ms. Ray,

I just love your new blog site.
I think Cameron and Caitlin’s childhood hindered their lovelife and relationships.

Vera D., thanks for visiting my new blog.
You’re so right. Caitlin transferred her childhood fears about the dangers of racing cars, and Cameron’s parents divorce played a huge part in how he felt about relationships. In this case, Caitlin transferred those fears to her son. If was only after she realized this and let go of the past was she able to believe that she and Cameron could be happy.
